TSTES is an established expert in in-use vehicle emissions standards, testing, and certification.

It has developed multiple programs for national and state government agencies in Mexico and has extensive international experience working with institutions such as the World Bank Group.

It conceptually designed the vehicle I&M process used in Mexico City, has developed in-house software for Accelerated Simulation Mode (ASM) dynamometer-based vehicle dynamic testing, reporting, and database management.

The company has been involved in defining many of the published vehicle emissions standards in the country and has worked closely with test equipment suppliers in helping them meet hardware and software specification requirements of different state programs.

The company has routinely been selected to conduct the statistical analysis of test data and define revisions to emission pass/fail cut points.

We conducted major reviews of China’s Liaoning Province Pilot I&M vehicle inspection program, India’s “Pollution under Control” vehicle inspection program, Mexico’s vehicle population analysis, Thailand’s in-use vehicle emissions, Mumbai Urban Transport Project vehicle emissions control strategies, and Air Quality Management Project (AQMP) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Santiago de Chile, Chile, Chongqing, Beijing, Shanghai, China and Hanoi, Vietnam.
