TSTES’ staff has provided extensive low carbon development and capacity building services through the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, GIZ, and other institutions to many client countries together with climate policy analytical work. 

It specializes in bottom-up mitigation policy analysis in the energy and transport sectors to strengthen planning capacity for low carbon growth. 

It has been responsible for the development of greenhouse gas measurement, reporting and verification (mrv) methodologies to credit GHG emissions reductions from policy initiatives in the power and transport sectors under the Transformative Carbon Asset Facility (TCAF), NDC Partnership, and Partnership for Market Readiness (PMR). 

It developed the World Bank’s Climate-Smart Planning Platform, and several transport adaptation/resilience studies.
